It’s been out for a few weeks, but I never managed to mention the new Metric single “Youth Without Youth”. Let me clear that up. I love this song. They had me from the first glam rock chords. Emily’s voice was missed in the last few months since I dug out ‘Fantasies’ and had a listen. I’d almost forgotten how much I like them. I’ve still never solved the mystery of the changing lyrics on “Gimme Sympathy” from the first time I heard it acoustic from the Glastonbury Festival to the later version on the album. Anyway, the album isn’t due out anytime soon, but you can snag the single and some extras if you order direct from Metric on the website.
