Playlist for week ending 11/11

I’ll say this again in case you missed it the first five times. Go buy the new Florence and the Machine record, you need to. I’ve played my favorite game with the album, the one I call “spot the single” and hell if I can figure out which of the tracks will be singles, hell nearly all of it could be. Last week I was all over “Shake it Out” and this week I’ve moved on to “Never Let Me Go (Acoustic Version)” or “Never Let Me Go (Album Version)” and “No Light, No Light” and from that same Jools Holland show “Breaking Down

Eventually the Florence love has to end, there’s only so many times I can listen to an album in a day ;)

I sort of dismissed the first song I heard from Friends, I liked it but it wasn’t until I heard the second song I really started to dig them. Nothing like a bit of indie dreamy girlpop.

Friends – Friend Crush
Friends – I’m His Girl

The other song I can’t seem to get enough of this week is the new Black Keys single “Lonely Boy” I’m in love with this video, he’s got some painfully familiar dance moves. lol I can’t wait to hear more from the new record.

A couple of songs that have been out for a while but I finally got around to adding them
Neon Indian – Polish Girl

I know they’ve been around for a while, but it wasn’t until this last record that they really caught my attention. Now that I have the album, I’m excited to listen to it. M83 – Midnight City

and lastly, in celebration of the album due out next Tuesday, R.E.M. – Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage. The boys performing at The Olympia Dublin. R.E.M. – These Days
